Sewing Directory Team Photo

Sorry for the lack of updates the last couple of weeks it has been a crazy busy few weeks.  Believe it or not The Sewing Directory team had our first ever meet up at the Craft Hobby & Stitch trade show in the NEC!  Because the business is purely online we all work from home and although I've met Beth a few times at sewing shows in the past but had only ever spoken to Juliet by phone.  So we were all very excited to finally meet up and take our first team photo.  You can find out more about us here.

We all really enjoyed the trade show, it was great to get the chance to meet up with so many of our sponsors and customers.  Plus we got the chance to make lots of new friends too.  We found some gorgeous fabrics from a new French company who are just breaking into the UK (more to come on that soon), plus there were hundreds of stunning felt kits from several different companies which will be on the market soon.   We also had some very exciting meetings which will hopefully help us continue to grow the site further in the coming year.

We're adding some new ideas to the site stage by stage (so many ideas and so little time!), we have started by adding a new weekly sewing tips feature (the first one by Make & Do Studios can be found here).  Also we have a new monhtly series of posts about interior design and sewing things for your home starting next week written by Pippa Blackler.

Last of all don't forget you can keep up to date with our news and giveaways etc by signing up to our newsletter here: http://www.thesewingdirectory.co.uk/newsletter/
