Focus on.... Sew Me Happy

Sew Me Happy are an online fabric store with an inspiring range of contemporary fabrics from modern designers such as Amy Butler, Anna Maria Horner, Carolyn Gavin, Monaluna and Tanya Whelan. The fabrics can be purchased off the roll or in gorgeous fabric bundles such as the pretty pinks bundle pictured here.

At a time when quite a few new online fabric stores are popping up it’s nice to see one with a USP (unique selling point) and Sew Me Happy’s USP is their clever ‘swatch function’.

This great function allows you to drag and drop fabrics from all over the site into one place so you can see if they would work well together. I’ve found one of the biggest problems with buying online is trying to find fabrics that co-ordinate so this tool is a great idea. You can use it to create your own fabric bundle, or just to decide which fabric best complements another.

Also the owner, Sarah, is currently taking alternative photos of all the fabrics on the site so you won’t just see the manufacturer’s swatch photos as on other sites, but extra pictures that will give you a better idea of the pattern and dimensions. These will be added in the next couple of weeks.

Hello everyone,

I know it's been a while since I posted about my competitions on the blog but that was largely due to lack of time.  I will now be running the competitions fortnightly instead of weekly (but with more prizes) so that I have more time for things such as keeping this blog updated.

This week there are 4 Makower fabric packs to be won, the competition is open worldwide.  For more details on the prizes and how to enter please visit:
